Our Cofounder, Desayo has been named the 7UP Scholar of the year
She is the 11th recipient of the 7UP Harvard Business School Scholarship.
Cofounder of Trove Finance Desayo Ajisegiri has been named the 7UP Scholar of the year. She edged over 1,000 others to clinch the coveted scholarship to get an MBA at Harvard University. She is the 11th recipient of the 7UP Harvard Business School Scholarship.
This rides on the back of Desayo’s collaborative work of building an investment bridge for Africans to the global financial markets. Trove currently boasts making 10,000 investing instruments available to its burgeoning user base across Africa. Prior to co-founding Trove, Desayo built an impressive career in consulting as a Strategy Analyst at UBS Investment Bank and finance at Goldman Sachs where she left as a Vice President.
She has translated her passion for democratizing financial freedom in different expressions – first, in a coaching capacity where she coached her clients to make better money decisions and helped her clients offset $200,000 in debts. Second, in a professional capacity with her strategic experiences at UBS Investment Bank and Goldman Sachs. More recently, her passion has found expression entrepreneurially with Trove Finance.
Desayo believes in giving back to the community in setting agendas and spearheading conversations that matter. She graced the tech business panel of LinkedIn Lagos and continues to contribute actively to the growing local tech ecosystem. Considering it an honour to contribute to her story, the Managing Director at the SevenUp Bottling Company, Mr Ziad Maloouf remarked, “Desayo has proven her mettle and passion for people and development, as evident in her work to enhance the financial status of Nigerians. We believe we have identified a leader Nigeria will be proud of.”
